Last week I had the privilege of attending for the first time, with my father, a sale he has been attending for decades.
The weather was kind to us and although it was a chilly start, walking around all the lots for sale, we soon had our minds on what we wanted to bid on.
There were many bundles of green holly with red berries, gold variegated holly with red berries and silver variegated holly with red berries. To an untrained eye the difference in the variegated holly could be over looked but we have clients who know exactly which colour of variegated holly they require.
Along with the holly there were boughs of mistletoe and not to mention holly wreaths of various designs, which had skilfully been made. Also knowing the items for sale were of product grown locally, meant it hadn't travelled to far outside the county of Gloucestershire, we were buying fresh stock.
The sale was a great success and we came away with a pleasing variety, not to mention stock to sell for this Christmas 2022 season.
